There is no fixed selection rule. Centerpiece
size and relief requirements are best evaluated in conjunction with
total room proportions.
Relief: The room ceiling height will determine the relief of
the centerpiece. Generally, lower ceilings (8-9 feet) accept less
centerpiece relief; higher ceilings (12-14 feet) greater relief.
Special Areas: Hallways, Foyers, small rectangular
rooms and baths can be accented with oval centerpieces; front
and rear halls with one centerpiece in each area; and large rectangular
rooms (dining, banquet, ballrooms, double parlours) with two or
more equally spaced centerpieces.
